What Is Fascial Counterstrain (FCS)?!

There are two parts to this explanation. First is what we are doing and the second is how.

Let's dig into the "what" part first. It's nothing new and is all over the news, too many people are walking around with chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation can cause pain, tissue destruction, contributes to cardiovascular disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes and many other conditions. During FCS treatment we use a gentle manual therapy to release inflammation, anywhere in the body, in a targeted manner.

How this is accomplished begins with a scan of the fascia of your head which correlates to points on your body. Through painless, small movements of the body into positions of ease, we release trapped inflammation. Some people feel nothing during a session others have stated they feel warmth or tingling or a flow of fluid in the area that used to feel stuck, stiff or painful.

It is not uncommon for patients to jokingly use a word like "magic" when asked to describe a session to their family or friends. Rest assured it is not magic, it is physical science as described in this article from Frontiers of Pain Research.

Not sure yet, here is what Tony Robbins has to say about his FCS session.
