If you listen to your body when it whispers then you won't have to hear it scream
FAQ's
Asking a question is the first way to begin change.
What should I expect during my first visit?
If you did not complete an intake form prior to your arrival, you will be required to fill one out and sign a HIPAA Acknowledgment form. Your therapist will begin by asking you general questions to understand your goals and what areas you would like to address.
It is important to list all health concerns, allergies, chronic illnesses and medications so the therapist can adapt the session to your specific needs without causing harm.
How early should I arrive?
New clients, or return clients with new medical info, should arrive 10 minutes prior to their appointment to update goals and ask or answer questions.
Should you be running late we will try to accommodate you as best as we can but there is no guarantee we can run over your scheduled time.
There is no waiting room area so please do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment or you may end up waiting outside.
What should I wear?
For a FCS or a stretching session you will remain completely clothed. You need loose, comfortable clothing as you would if you were going to exercise.
For therapeutic massage there is movement involved and underwear/shorts are preferable. If you're comfortable, removing your top allows for the broad muscles of the back to be accessed.
Can I talk during my session?
Please do, communication is everything! All of this is pain free manual therapy, but that doesn't mean you don't get to speak up if something doesn't feel right or if you have questions.
How long will a treatment session last?
All sessions begin and end on time, lasting 50 -60 mins. You are more than welcome to arrive 5 or 10 minutes early to discuss what you need that day.

How often should I get treatment?
If you are addressing a specific issue you will benefit from weekly sessions. If it's maintenance, you may want to schedule monthly.
How many sessions will I need?
This is hard to say. Every person is unique and every condition is particular to each person. You and your therapist will be able to talk more specifically about this after your first session. Chances are you are coming in to address a chronic issue so it likely won't resolve in one session.
How will I feel after my treatment?
Most people feel very relaxed with a decrease in, or even freedom from, long-term aches and pains, and freer movement.
If you received any deep tissue work, you may be slightly sore the next day – much like a good workout. Stretching, a hot shower or a soak in the tub can ease this soreness.
After any session you should increase your water intake to keep your tissue hydrated and healthy.

Am I expected to tip my massage therapist?
Tips are not expected.
If you have received exceptional service and would like to show your appreciation a good referral is always welcome!
Are there any cancellation fees?
You may cancel your appointment without charge up to 48 hours preceding your appointment. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price.
If you do not call to cancel your appointment and do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be charged full price for the scheduled service.
